Hi, I'm Emily...

I'm a storyteller. While I spend my days telling other people's stories, I would rather tell you mine. It all begins when a South Floridian with a sunny disposition moved all the way to the Windy City. My passion for telling stories led me to one of the nation's top journalism schools, Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. But, that was only the beginning.

While journalism taught me the power of narrative, I also learned that there are other ways to tell stories. Thus, I began my career in communications. My journey has not been linear; I have worked for non-profits like Make-a-Wish South Florida, helping to get their message out and garner donations. I worked as a reporter at Boca Magazine and The Daily Northwestern, finding my passion in the power of words. I even worked in the fast-paced start-up world at Centro, an AdTech company — where I had to learn fast and work smart. I found my true passion for PR when I worked as an Assistant Account Executive at MSL Group.

The next chapter begins with my current job as an Associate at Weber Shandwick where no day is the same. One day I might be creating a social media strategy or writing a brief for a client. The next, I am creating an executive visibility plan and writing pitches. When I am not telling stories, I am reading them, monitoring the media and trend spotting for new opportunities.

But there is more to me than work, I am an avid Chicago foodie, an active Peloton rider and a world-traveler eager to plan my next trip.
